Begun
in 1915 and located on the campus of Southern Methodist University, SWR
is the third oldest, continuously published literary quarterly in the United
States. We try to discover works by new writers and publish them beside those of
more established authors. Selections from SWR have
been reprinted in volumes of Prize Stories: The O. Henry Prize Stories, Best
American Short Stories, Best American Essays, Best American Poetry,
New Stories from the South, and elsewhere.
